The Permanent Secretariat of the National Council on Child Rights Protection was established by Government Decision no.1050 of 5 August, 2002 following the recommendations of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (pt. 11, 2002), based on the tasks, duties and powers of the Council, and in accordance with the National Concept of Сhild Protection and Family (GD no.51 of 23 January 2002). The Permanent Secretariat of the Council is the executive structure which carries current functions of coordination, development, implementation and monitoring of government policy on child protection.
The Permanent Secretariat resumed its activity on August1, 2010, with the mission to support the National Council on Child Rights Protection in development, implementation and promotion of policies on child protection and family at national and local level.
The Permanent Secretariat is working with central and local authorities, institutions in the field, international organizations, civil society, individuals and legal entities operating in the field of child protection and family.
